What is Epoxy resin potting machine

  • 2026-10-28

An epoxy resin dispensing machine is a fully automated dispensing device that can automatically mix AB adhesives at a specific ratio and complete the dispensing process with high efficiency. This equipment is typically equipped with a three-axis mechanical moving platform, enabling dispensing at various angles and positions in three-dimensional space. The epoxy resin dispensing machine is equipped with a programming system, greatly improving its accuracy! Furthermore, it boasts exceptional continuous operation capabilities!

Epoxy resin potting machines can mix A and B glue at preset ratios and complete potting work at high speed and efficiency. Typically equipped with two material tanks and two metering pumps, the epoxy potting machine is controlled by a programming system. It supports adjustable mixing ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:10. Furthermore, the material tanks come with heating, vacuuming and stirring functions to handle glues of different properties for various applications, perfectly meeting quality requirements for potting processes.

The epoxy resin potting machine also features the following advantages:

  1. Simple operation and programming. No routine cleaning is required, and disassembly & assembly are convenient. A and B glues are stored separately in individual tanks, and mixing only occurs during potting. Operators simply press the start switch to run the machine.
  2. Integrated automatic glue mixing and potting. A single machine fulfills both functions.
  3. Adjustable and controllable mixing ratio & glue output. Easy to operate. While simplifying workflow, it delivers higher precision and cuts enterprise operating costs.
  4. Curing reminder function, eliminating the tedious work of removing cured glue.
  5. Easy integration into existing production lines.
  6. Simple cleaning. Only the mixing tube needs cleaning; other components remain clean. At the end of the shift, just remove and clean the mixing tube.

Epoxy resin potting machines are widely applied across many industries, including transformers, computers, digital products, switches, general electronics, LEDs, machinery, optics and more.

After introducing its benefits, let’s talk about one common fault of epoxy potting machines: bubbles forming after potting. What solutions can we adopt to fix this issue? Two solutions are provided below:

  1. Air bubbles introduced during glue mixing or potting. Improper stirring or high glue viscosity may trap air inside the adhesive during mixing. If the glue is highly viscous, bubbles are hard to eliminate. For low-viscosity glue with a slow curing rate, you can wait for bubbles to rise and dissipate naturally. For bubbles generated during mixing and potting, you can use vacuum degassing, heating to reduce viscosity, adding thinner or defoamer to remove bubbles. The optimal solution depends on your actual working conditions.
  2. Bubbles caused by dense electronic components preventing full glue penetration. For this scenario, the two-step potting method is recommended. Pour one-third of the glue in the first run to allow the adhesive to fully flow into gaps between electronic components. Then inject the remaining glue in the second potting step.
